Minimum System Requirements

If you have a PC, you must be running Windows 98 or later operating system with at least a 233-MHz processor Pentium II and 64 MB of RAM.

If you are using a Macintosh, you must have at least a G3 with Mac OS X installed. In addition, you should have at least Windows Media Player 9 and a recent version of your preferred browser.*

In order to view the video streams you must have Windows Media Player version 9 or higher embedded in your web browser. To find out which version of Media Player is embedded in your browser, right-click the player in the Media window and then select About.

Video is configured to stream at various speeds from 20 kbps (audio-only) up to 350 kbps. Our servers automatically detect your connection speed and send the highest quality stream possible. If you are trying to view the meeting over a dial-up connection, we recommend manually selecting an audio-only version of the meeting.

*Note for Mac users about Windows Media Player

Recently Microsoft announced that it will no longer support Windows Media Player for the Mac. The Windows Media Player (WMP) Plug-in is still available for download. All video-related features provided by this service are compatible and work with this plug-in. It has been tested with our media on seven browsers available for the Mac, including Safari and Firefox.

As an alternative, Microsoft is promoting the Flip4Mac program. Tested in June '06, Flip4Mac's Windows Media Components v2.1.0.24 for QuickTime does play Videos as produced from our system, though with some issues.

Flip4Mac currently does not support some of our advanced features, in addition to other minor playback problems. Flip4Mac is updating this plug-in on a regular basis and we will test these releases frequently.
