About the position:
Reporting directly to the Account Development Manager, this position is responsible for uncovering new business opportunities for the Field Sales Team and developing a deep pool of viable sales for the organization. The position is also responsible for assisting assigned Field Sales Reps in creating opportunities and moving them through our defined sales process. The role has true opportunity for growth, potentially serving as a launch pad for an exciting career in a sales organization.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve/exceed quarterly and annual opportunity creation (# and $) quotas through the following outbound activities:
- Cold Calling
- Following-up on leads
- email
- Campaign delivery and optimization (with Marketing)
- Help Field Sales Reps move the opportunities through our sales pipeline via the following activities:
- Schedule follow-up calls/appointments
- Coordinate Network/Document Assessments
- Occasionally help the Field Sales Reps move the opportunities from PO Received to Sales Transition Complete.
- Subscribe to or proactively seek-out information that can be used to uncover or move opportunities (e.g. news feeds, newsletters, strategic plans, industry publications, etc).
Requirements:
- BA/BS required; 1-2 years prospecting experience
- Experience in the following industries is a plus:
- Software
- Streaming Video
- Government
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Relationship creation abilities; understands how to leverage relationships in support of sales, referrals and support cohorts.
- Persuasive nature
- High energy – Sense of Urgency
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Committed self-starter
