Tom co-founded Granicus, Inc. as Chairman and CEO in 1999. Under Tom’s direction, Granicus has risen to the top of the cloud computing industry for government transparency, efficiency, and citizen participation. It has consistently been ranked among the fastest growing companies in the Silicon Valley and North America. Granicus’ award-winning software has also been recognized nationally for helping 700+ government agencies provide a more streamlined and open government. Prior to Granicus, Tom worked at Accenture, performing internet strategy for companies such as E-Trade and Q-pass and at Hewlett Packard to develop leading Intranet communications tools. Tom’s an Advisor for his alumni, Cal Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, he’s a frequent public speaker at government tradeshows including the International City/County Management Association and the National Association of Counties, he’s a certified teacher for the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMCC), and is a member of the MCEF Board of Directors.

Mr. Arrowsmith’s past JMI investment experience includes Bindview Development Corporation, Blackbaud, Inc., ClearOrbit, Inc., Financial Alliance, Inc., Mitchell International, Inc., NetPro Computing, Inc., PROS Holdings, Inc. and Silicon Energy, Inc. Prior to joining the Firm in 1996, Mr. Arrowsmith was an Associate at AEA Investors and was a Business Analyst at McKinsey and Company. Mr. Arrowsmith graduated from Harvard University.

Most recently, she was president and founder of Flawless Leadership, a boutique consulting firm that coached C-level business leaders on executive performance and chair of two CEO Peer Groups with Vistage International, the world's largest CEO membership organization.

Gary Read

Gary Read has served as Nimsoft CEO for 6 years. Nimsoft was acquired by CA Technologies in March 2010. Prior to Nimsoft, Gary was vice president of sales and marketing at RiverSoft, a provider of advanced network management products. Earlier, Gary was vice president of marketing at BMC Software, where he oversaw product strategy, definition, and execution as well as go-to-market plans for all distributed systems management products. Gary has held sales and marketing leadership roles at BMC Software, Boole & Babbage and MAXM Systems.

Emery Jones

As a co-founder of Granicus, Emery's focus is multi-faceted and far-reaching. In addition to building and expanding financial procedures, Emery's client-centered vision is at the base of Granicus' philosophical foundation. Emery brings a wealth of knowledge to his responsibilities in the financial sector. Before co-founding Granicus, Emery owned a successful financial consulting practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering financial advice and strategic planning to start-ups and small businesses. Emery received his B.A. in Accounting and Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
